Confirmed from Willamette Mission State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
A nature preserve with a lake, camping, hiking & picnicking, on the site of a former settlement.
What runners say about Willamette Mission State Park
“The trails are easy to ride; they're pretty flat with just a couple of small hills, and are very well maintained.”
“The drive through the park was beautiful and the kids loved seeing the osprey nest.”
“Easy walk through forest wonderland!”
Great Park for a quick walk or a long stroll with the dog. There are many miles of paved and dirt trails. It is kept a very clean
I am unsure why more people don't use this park. It is a nice park with great flat, walking and biking trails. Horse trails too. Groomed so weed free. Lots of space with not a lot of people. We saw king fishers and gophers and snakes. Took a ride on the ferry too! Good place for a picnic!
This place is great for walking and running. The trails are all pretty short, probably around 1-3 miles. Some of the trails can get muddy during the winter but you can avoid the mud if you walk on the paved paths. I recommend the trail that connects to the front parking lot.
We only had a short time here and we didn't get to see all of the park by far, but from what we did see I'd happily come back. The drive through the park was beautiful and the kids loved seeing the osprey nest. We walked along part of the lake and over to see the big cottonwood.
