Confirmed from Wing Island's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Wing Island
“Beautiful walk through the marsh to get to some really scenic vistas.”
“It was so peaceful and a great spot to walk.”
I love it here. I almost don't want to review it because I don't want anyone else to know how great a spot it is! The trails are lovely, short, and good for kids. There is a narrow boardwalk through the marsh to get to the island. The trails end at a nice beach.
A local told us about this spot and so glad we made the trek. Parked at nearby Drummer Boy Park and walked up the road to the public path. The walk to the dunes is lovely.
A great place to walk in a peaceful area. Great views of the beach and salt marshes. Part of Cape Cod Museum of Natural History but you don't need to be a member to walk the trails.
After walking at Drummer Boy Park we walked the two tenths of a mile to the Wing Island Trailhead. It only has a small sign attached to a tree. It’s located next to the Cape Cod Museum Of Natural History but doesn’t have its own parking area. The two parking lots are for Museum customers only.
