Confirmed from Winters Putah Creek Nature Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Winters Putah Creek Nature Park
“Maybe I'm a little biased as I grew up enjoying putah creek, but this area is beautiful.”
“4/7/25 Monday very quiet and beautiful park in small town of Winters.”
I love this creek. The water comes from the bottom of Lake Berryessa so it is COLD, yet refreshing. A good place to eat a panini and drink a lemonade on your lunch. The people I have run into have been awesome as well.
Maybe I'm a little biased as I grew up enjoying putah creek, but this area is beautiful. You can walk the paved path along the creek or you can head down to the creek itself and take a dip to cool off. There's wildlife all around, with salmon in the creek during certain times. Just a great place to enjoy nature.
.Really great place to walk around, unfortunately they took down the tire swing, which used to be great fun
Great place to walk down to the river, put your feet in the water, and have a picnic. Trail from the park to the river is well-worn, but not paved.
