Confirmed from Wiregrass Prairie Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Wiregrass Prairie Preserve
“Not a lot of shade so be sure to wear your sunscreen and have some coverage.”
“Blue/orange trailhead is clearly marked.”
This is one of the more rustic preserves. Its very pleasant but really rural. I visited all the trails. Red trailhead has no sign, just a post in front of an orange gate. There is no parking area for it, so I parked in front of the gate. If you reach the soft sand part of the road you've gone too far.
Great spot to go especially when it’s cooler outside. Not a lot of shade so be sure to wear your sunscreen and have some coverage. Best time to get out here is fall or early spring! - Fl Adventure Guide.
