Confirmed from Wiseman Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Wiseman Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (150 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“There's a little shade near the structure for setting down picnic blankets but only one bench and no picnic tables that I saw so bring chairs or blanket of you plan to sit.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“It's in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, and nearby are two soccer fields and a couple of baseball/softball fields.”

I like this park near the Petaluma airport. It’s got nice trails, parking along the city roads, water fountain, bathrooms, soccer fields and b-ball field and a playground. a Very dog friendly area. The kids can bike around on the paved trails and watch the aircraft fly nearby.

★★★★☆ — Michael , May 2021

Great park, clean, small and quaint. Plenty of parking and a nice smooth walkway or bike path. Next to the airport so you can watch planes take off and land. Perfect for the little ones. No sandbox, has woodchips and that soft spongy playground material so no one gets hurt if should take a spill.

★★★★★ — Johan , Jan 2021

It's a long park south of the airport. Good for walking or biking. Some sports fields, a playground, nice benches to rest at intervals. Even loops around near the creek, with a few quiet spots if you want to be alone to do some thinking or whatever.

Wonderful Park! Has a nice walking path that goes beyond it. A little play structure and a few soccer fields. There is a tiny airport. So you get to see now and then little planes coming in. I go there and sit in my car in a little shade with an elderly man I take care of. We go there so I read.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
