Confirmed from Wood Dale / Itasca Reservoir's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Wood Dale / Itasca Reservoir
“Nice and peaceful place to go for a walk around a large retention pond.”
A really nice place to walk, run, or ride a bike. The path is a good distance and not too difficult
It's a bike trail but also a nice walk as well. If you like super long walks/bike trails this might be the best place for you. I go for walks, I've timed myself and was surprised to find out a full walk around the main trail is 20mins. There's not much to see but it's very relaxing.
This place is definitely a hidden gem. It's very quiet and tucked away, but has a really nice 1.2 mile paved trail loop around the reservoir. The trail loop connects to the Salt Creek Trail is you want to branch off from the loop.
Nice and peaceful place to go for a walk around a large retention pond. About 1.25 mi to do the full loop
