We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Woodland Hills Hiking Trails yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Woodland Hills Hiking Trails

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (22 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Great trail with so much to explore and see. My two toddlers love visiting here because we always see wildlife. From deer to turkeys to snakes and turtles. Perfect spot to feel likenyoungotnaway from the busy city life.

★★★★★ — Kelsey , Sep 2024

Everything you need in a nature trail/woodland. Well surfaced and maintained trails, excellent signage, green environment ( no "manicured" landscapes whatsoever) and plenty of shade on a hot day. Yes there's noise from the freeway, but you can ignore it, or use headphones. Great job by the Farmington Parks team

★★★★★ — John , Sep 2023

A beautiful hiking area that leads to a little pond at the end. No dogs allowed unfortunately! Plenty of parking and bathrooms at the beginning of the walk. There is tons of nature here

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 9 mentions

“This is a great and clean park, but dogs are not allowed, and because of the interstate right next to it you hear very loud traffic noise all the time.”

  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
