Confirmed from Woodland Park and Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Many native species make their homes in this natural preserve which is open to the public.
What runners say about Woodland Park and Nature Preserve
“The park is so beautiful and the hidden trails are life healing.”
“It is a small quiet peaceful gem of a place where I can enjoy meditative walks with my wife during Shabbat.”
Woodland Park has a lot of wild life ranging from rabbits, snakes, toads, frogs, birds and deer. This is a very nice trail with a lot of green scenes and different paths one can take.
Really unique experience in the "city". Where you can roam on miles of trails amongst huge trees and lush plants but be feet from rushing cars and commercial buildings. Lots of birds, very good for the soul! And free! Just with there was more signage about the flora and history.
I truly enjoy this place. It is a small quiet peaceful gem of a place where I can enjoy meditative walks with my wife during Shabbat. Thank God for putting it in someone’s heart to create this park.
Absolutely beautiful park and so serene. Got to witness a doe crossing my path twice on the Sumac/Beech trails! I also took the blue trail in the back (Hidden Loop) and the flooding was cleared as of late September. I absolutely love how clearly the trails are labeled here.
