Confirmed from Woodland Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Woodland Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (107 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Nice trail to stretch your legs and it's also super beautiful.”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 4 mentions

“Many people brought their dogs and walked together!”

This is a beautiful hike. There are various paths to take, to determine what distance you want to walk. We did the outer loop and it was just over a mile. The terrain is easy. There is very limited access to fresh water, so if you bring your pup, bring them some water.

Love this place! Its so big, nice and relaxing, you barely run into anybody. Great place to walk your pets, run, walk or take a bike ride. Keep an eye out for ticks though.

This trail is so amazing the natural landscape is amazing I just stopped here to eat my lunch while waiting for a friends plane to land. I had time to kill so I decided to go for a hike. And I’m so glad I did. If u haven’t experienced this amazing hike u need to

Trails marked well. Easy and pretty hike or bike. Bring the doggies ( on a leash). They don't allow pitbull/ mix fyi which is too bad. Blame the owners not the breed.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 3 mentions

“The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because parking is very limited.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
