Confirmed from Yampa River Botanic Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Several ponds and snaking paths up rocks and thru trees made for an easy walk about and an amusing and relaxing trip.”

It was nice and I enjoyed it but was also disappointed as it's not as good as others that I've been too. It did have lots of shaded areas and cute short serene paths, off of the main ones.

We rented some bikes downtown and rode along the trail. We found this spot and it was super cool. Very relaxing and interesting. The highlight for us was seeing an Osprey nest and 3 Ospreys circling the area looking for food. Highly recommend a quick stop in here if you have time.

This place is beautiful. We walked through the gate, and a very informative lady greeted us. Take your time and enjoy the beautiful flowers. It's not a long walk. There are bathrooms in the parking lot.

Absolutely beautiful 😍 First time visiting and will be back. Spectacular and magical. My three year old LOVED all the secret paths and the pond. Brilliant for all ages!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 17 mentions

“There is a literal Osprey living just outside the gates in a nest that we got to find and view thru the viewfinder they set up within the park.”
