Confirmed from Yaquina Bay North Viewpoint's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a 70-year-old bridge over the Yaquina River.
What runners say about Yaquina Bay North Viewpoint
“Beach access via a nice, well-maintained trail descending down some stairs into a forest then over a short sand dune, with an easy walk to the ocean.”
“Beautiful spot, with trails that go to the beach and the North Yaquina Jetty.”
Seen the Yaquina river passing under the 70 years and beautiful bridge, running long the cutwater to the Pacific ocean; under the blue sky decorated with white clouds with fantastic shapes, and the end of rainbow between the forest. Also, the fishing vessels returning home after of a hard work, make the day blessing.
Beautiful viewpoint! We didn't get the chance to get close to the Lighthouse but there's a few good walks around the area!
There is a very nice parking area, with easy access to a viewing deck overlooking the entrance to Yaquina Bay, and the bridge. Nice visual aids at this location too. Turn around, and there is the lighthouse and trails leading up to it. There is also a trailhead leading down to the beach and North Jetty.
This place offers a hotspot view from above and below the Yaquina Bay Bridge. It's a trail where you can walk through a forest path and currently under construction lighthouse. You can walk back along the sandy beach and there are many picnic tables, making it a great spot for a day out when the weather is nice.
