Confirmed from Yellow River Marsh Preserve State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Aquatic preserve with 2,000+ acres of forest, wetlands & marsh, habitat for snakes & turtles.
What runners say about Yellow River Marsh Preserve State Park
“This is a real beautiful spot and in certain times of the year you can see the pitcher plant everywhere and wildlife in the large pond at the end of the trail.”
“It was quiet and peaceful and I enjoyed exploring the little area.”
Super cool to see carnivorous plants! Be aware though this isn't a hiking trail and the address on Google isn't correct. Nice stop on your drive to the beach.
This is a real beautiful spot and in certain times of the year you can see the pitcher plant everywhere and wildlife in the large pond at the end of the trail. It is more a sit down and rest kind of spot. The trail to the pond is very short.
It is still a good place to visit. A good amount of native carnivorous plants and also bird watching. *Just a heads up for those that are hoping for a walk through nature, there is only a short trail from the parking to the water (maybe a 2 minute walk) and then do a 180° back to the car.
This is a very small trail, but beautiful, nonetheless. There are wildflowers, pitcher plants and crab spiders, to name a few things. There is a parking area if you search for the park at Dickerson City Road at Garcon Point Road. It was quiet and peaceful and I enjoyed exploring the little area.
