We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of UWF Cross Country Trails yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about UWF Cross Country Trails
I brought my family here yesterday and we were very happy with the walk. It was just about 3 miles around the whole thing. Our kids had a lot of fun exploring and looking for bugs. Everything is marked really well so you know where you're going.
Absolutely beautiful trails. Wide walking paths. Many trees and few sounds from life outside the woods. You could still mildly hear traffic in some areas. I took my elderly dog on her last walk through there in her stroller.
I have the great opportunity to run on these trails all the time and I love the fact that there are not many roots you can trip on! Great hills for training. Be careful of yellow flies in the summer.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
