Confirmed from 10 Mile Clay Loop's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (51 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“HIGHLY recommend this route for experienced runners- it's absolutely gorgeous, too.”

🏃 great for running 5 mentions

“Great place for running with rolling hills along a rarely traveled dirt road.”

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“Do bring some water and make sure you go to the bathroom because there is no water or shade anywhere.”

Nice trail. A mix of hardpack and soft sand over what looks like a concrete base. If you run the route clockwise, you can make it 12.1 miles if you turn left at the fork, and turn around when the sand runs out and turn into a regular road (Just past the truck class warning sign).

One of my favorite trails to train on in Central Florida. No shade, rather hilly, no asphalt. Definitely great place to train for anything from a 5k to marathon. Get there early!

This is a hidden gem. Great place for running with rolling hills along a rarely traveled dirt road.

★★★★★ — Chris , Jan 2020

The clay is easy on your joints, but you cannot underestimate the difficulty of this route, as the many rolling hills are some of the steepest you'll encounter in the state. Bring plenty of water and use the potty before arriving- there are no facilities.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
