Confirmed from Abita Creek Flatwoods Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Boardwalk and deck trails, which provide access to a landscape where pitcher plants bloom.

Pitcher plants are neat to look at and have beautiful blooms. This was an easy trail, nice wooded path, maintained just enough but swampy to get a wild view. The signs could be updated/reprinted they're faded a good bit. 5 star because I love all efforts to preserve wildlife.
Beautiful place. Excellent condition. A great getaway from everyone else. If you want to be away from other people with a good distance to walk and nothing around but nature this is the place to come. The couple people I did pass there, were social distancing and using masks.
Great easy "hike". The Flatwoods offers an environment unlike any other on the north shore.
The first time on this trail, it's better than expected. About 1/2 of the trail is a well maintained boardwalk. No mosquitos, but I sprayed down with deet in case of ticks. The parking area is small, I should have backed in to make existing easier. There was one trail off of the main trail that was a little muddy.
