Confirmed from Ablon Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This city park features a reservable pavilion, a fishing pier, playground & portable restrooms.
What runners say about Ablon Park
“Beautiful park with creek that runs into pond, mostly clean but have seen broken glass in the dirt.”
“The park is a great gem nestled in a quiet neighborhood.”
Nice little park with a nice little pond. Walking trail with benches and shade. Decent fishing but water quality is not exactly 100%
I love this park/ trail area. We aren’t from this area but my mom and I were taking my dog to the vet across the area and went there to make the time go faster till they were done with my puppy. And we went here and I was so fun. It’s a very beautiful area and I can’t wait to go back.
The pavilion can be rented out from the Garland Park District. The pavilion is freshly painted and cleaned, very impressed. Well kept BBQ pit and you can see the whole playground easily. Playground accommodates both toddlers and older kids.
All reviews begin with five stars. During the review process the service(s) and circumstance(s) maintain or lower the rating. This park has a nice lighted pavilion. Decent pier good for dropping a line to fish (needs maintenance). Circular pond well stocked with fish and park benches all around the trail.
