We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Porter Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly park with disc golf, a pond, and a playground.

Best disc golf park within 50 miles,, and city of mesquite always, I mean always keeps the park clean and mowed,, great fishing at parks verdes lake too... large walking track,, with exercise equipment on site,,, best hidden gem in mesquite
This is my favorite park in the Mesquite area. There is a tree-covered walk around the lake. It is along the Mesquite Trail that runs throughout the city. There is exercise equipment for those who want to a heavy workout. I recommend it.
There is a playground at the school that is pretty nice. The park itself has a walking trail, an exercise circuit, places for fishing, and a 9-hole disc golf course.
We really love this pond and visit often! it has a great walking trail, exercise area, hills for kiddos to run around, and a pond you can fish at!

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
