Confirmed from Acorn Woods Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Multi-use trails for hiking and biking near the shore of a lake.
What runners say about Acorn Woods Park
“Usually an open space for 3-6 of us, very well maintained, bathrooms are clean but bring your own toiletries Lakes always nice and they have fire pits and allow campfire”
We used to visit this park all the time when we lived right across the street. It's a really nice area, great hiking trails, nice paths, picnic tables, fishing areas, a beach, and docks for your boats. We brought our dog here for his last day, he loved it.
Beautiful park with occasional scena of the water from the walking trail. There are several covered picnic tables to eat at, but not a ton of parking. You will see plenty of people either walking their dogs or riding their bicycles. The path is suitable for strollers.
The park itself is nice with shaded picnic areas with grills and places to park right next to them. There are also trails here, nice wide paved trails with wooden bridges that go next to the lake and connect to a larger trail system.
Having visited this area a number of times over the years and frequently walking in an adjacent neighborhood I decided to make this a destination on my walk this week. I was surprised that this tremendous investment in recreation. Super location alongside the lake and adjacent Park.
