Confirmed from Oak Grove Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Lakefront park featuring paved trails, picnic tables & sports fields, plus a marina & fishing pond.
What runners say about Oak Grove Park
“It’s kept up meticulously the concession stand is quick and clean with a really good choice of food right across the street on the water the family can go to.”
“Its scenic calm place to enjoy day picnic with family and friends.”
Good park nearby, only 10 minutes away from grapevine mills, has a big marina and boat parking, softball fields for kids, some spots for fishing and a beach. The accessible trail part is not long enough. There is only a few picnic spots , those go very quickly on good days. The beach is mostly red clay.
I just love this park. Grapevine Lake has been a staple growing up in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs. It has everything. From bike trails, playgrounds and boating/motorsports. You can not go wrong with this place. Two of my closest friends were baptized last weekend. And the Bethesda Church picnic was wonderful!
Great place to enjoy nature while remaining physically distanced from other humans. Most of the walking paths have plenty of space to skirt around other people if needed. Free entry, which weirdly enough is not a guarantee in this area.
This park has it all for outdoors. Multiple boat launches (when not underwater), many baseball fields and soccer fields (when not underwater), and good places to fish, swim and ski or wake board.
