Great place by the mud lake which offers well maintains trails and loops with different views. Toddlers/kids have a playground to enjoy and also watch hens, geese, turkeys and donkeys from a safe distance. There are lil cabins with chairs inside it by the lake and it’s perfect to pictures during golden hours.
Just a wonderful place to refresh the soul ! It's an awesome visit, no matter what time of year. Great place to hike, bike, snowshoe, cross-country ski, nature photography, etc. ! Christmas at the Homestead is special.
So much wildlife!! Deer, wild Turkey, pheasant, dozens of different bird species, frogs, toads, butterflies galore. Mary's Avenue trail is a must see, don't let the description "primitive trail " intimidate you. It's a wonderfully peaceful, flat, well groomed trail.
An amazing, immaculately maintained space w/ miles of gravel or mowed trails. Terrific for easy hiking, running, or bicycling. A nice indoor nature center, too. Simply outstanding.
