Confirmed from Albany Hill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Green space featuring a variety of plants & a scenic, eucalyptus tree-lined trail with benches.
What runners say about Albany Hill Park
“There's some steep parts but it's a rather short hike beautiful natural keep an eye out for poison oak though”
“Quiet, wooden hill overlooking the bay and offering nice views of the Berkeley hills”
Well trodden trail, traffic noise is audible but the big tree swing a joy. Then discovered the trail going down the hill. Lovely.
Cool park. Convenient stairs to handle those steep hill climbs, especially on wet days. Great spot to explore with young kids. Can hear/see the buzz of traffic on I-80 through the trees.
Nice little hill with a view , a breeze , lots of eucalyptus, butterflies . Worth taking a stroll through, there is some incline .
Nice area to walk - great views although trees limit the full scenery.

- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
