Confirmed from Coonskin Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Coonskin Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,456 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 15 mentions

“The riverside trail was calm, scenic, and uncrowded, making it easy to enjoy the surroundings without distractions.”

A beautiful Park, had almost a state park feel to it. Much larger than expected with lots of amenities. We went and hiked the Alice Knight Trail, so beautiful and saw the occasional airplane pass over. Found the grotto and big cool cave.

Stopped here to see the waterfall, which is about half a mile down the Alice Knight trail. But there seems to be alot of other things to do here in this beautiful park.

Love coonskin park. It has a lot to offer and it’s not crowded and u can truly appreciate the outdoors and trails with ur family and friends. I like to frequent the park quite often in the summer. I love this spring time of the year because all the baby frogs are so cute and we enjoy catching and releasing them.

What a nice place! I saw families enjoying quality time all throughout the park. I came to enjoy the the Alice Knight Memorial trail and enjoyed it very much.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
