Confirmed from Allocco Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Neighborhood park popular with children and dog walkers, with a basketball court and playground, plus trails for hiking.
What runners say about Allocco Park
“Allocco Park is clean, spacious, and great for families.”
“I go there to walk my dog both around the track and in the wooded area adjacent the track.”
This recently installed ALL Abilities park is fantastic! We recently visited this park, and my kids had such a great time, they keep asking to go back every day. 😊 The roller slide is a favorite for my SPD kids.
Beautiful play ground for all children. My son who is autistic loves the play ground only problem there's always so many children and people packed in the play area. They have a little trail into the woods and the bugs were not bad at all like most parks. They also have a basketball court, and a small baseball field.
Great park that has a really nice playground set, full basketball hoop, and field that has a paved loop to walk upon… all of which allows you to stay within eyesight of the parking lot.
We like this little park! A couple swings, several slides, baseball field, basketball court, and walking trail. Several picnic tables in shade too. No bucket swings for toddlers.
Trail conditions & character
“It features a basketball court, a playground, woodsie trails, a short loop walking track for those afeared of woods and a big grass field often filled with fetching dogs.”
“There is a paved walking path around the ball fields as well as a small easy hiking trail through the woods perfect for young kids.”

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
