Confirmed from Alum Creek Multi-Use Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Alum Creek Multi-Use Trail
“The trail is well maintained and there are many great views of Alum Creek.”
“Wonderful trail, beautiful and safe with bridges and wildlife next to the creek.”
I started this part of the Alum Creek Trail at the bridge that is just north of Cherrington Park in Westerville then south to just past I-270. I passed a few parks, crossed a couple of bridges and underpasses. The trail is well maintained and there are many great views of Alum Creek.
I've used this park for bike riding, ebike riding, dog walks, even fishing. It's clean, safe, and peaceful overall. Except for weekend mornings, usually not very crowded at all. A nice and diverse mix of people as well.
Very pretty and well-maintained trail! Makes for an easy run, and connects to many places :) I take my dog on walks here almost everyday, and there are many areas to explore along the trail. We see many bikes, pedestrians, other dogs, strollers, and skateboards (which my doggy hates haha!).
Paved trail along Alum Creek .It is gorgeous . Wildlife everywhere .lots deer . It's so pretty it looks like ur in the wilderness but right in Columbus

The practical stuff

- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
