Confirmed from Amazon Headwaters Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area offering kid-friendly routes, plus trails that are good for older people.
What runners say about Amazon Headwaters Trail

“Beautiful hike with friendly hikers and a well kept trail.”
Beautiful hike with friendly hikers and a well kept trail. Super easy to locate and park great for any skill level. Found a cute tree that someone is making into a little fairy tree! I recommend hiking boots as it can be a bit muddy but a great trail to get you out in nature!
Love this 1 mile trail that links to the Spencer Butte trail. Well kept, and well loved by the neighborhood. Not quite an easy path as it isn't flat, but easy for most people in good health :-)
This trail starts at the headwaters of Amazon Creek near a little Park with some playground equipment. Groomed and forested, it’s about a one mile uphill hike, moderate, with an option to continue up to Spencer Butte at Fox Hollow or Head east to Dillard Rd and Mt. Baldy.
This place is definitely a hidden gem. I had no idea it was here. Nice gravel trails. The inside is a Lil slippery. The view is beautiful and natural. There are 3 different trails you can take further down the trail. Went with my 10yr old granddaughter and it was great.
