Confirmed from Spring Boulevard Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Spring Boulevard Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (39 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“The trail is about 3 feet wide, well rocked and well kept.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“This beautiful forest trail in a super posh neighborhood zig zags up to a peak with gorgeous views of valleys and forests all around.”

Tucked away in the south hills fancy neighborhood to start. It's an uphill climb that's moderate up to Mt. Baldy. There's a great open view with a looping trail at the top. One side you can see Springfield direction and the other windward side there's a view of Eugene with fern ridge reservoir in the distance.

This is not a trail for a stroller. Pretty steep. If you want to do the whole thing then make the 1st left at the top. I went the wrong way and walked up hill in the sun. Really pretty, majestic almost. Berries everywhere. I did about 3.15 miles in an hour. I was really booking it though.

This beautiful forest trail in a super posh neighborhood zig zags up to a peak with gorgeous views of valleys and forests all around. It does the thing the best Eugene hikes do-- makes you forget the grit and sprawl and desperation down in the valley.

Perfect out of your house but still in your neighborhood getaway. Whether you do the Mt. Baldy loop or go all the way to Spencer's Butte, the experience is always inspiring. Respect the neighborhood if you park. Be safe, mask when not 6 feet on narrow trail. As per asphalt surface makes this one year round friendly.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
