One of my absolute favorite places to be. Beautiful any time of year. The space is HUGH. Lots of options for trails, picnic tables, even cast iron grills for cooking. Fishing, and canoeing are also popular activities for this space. Great for walking, biking, dog walking. Trails vary in difficulty.
Excellent park! Have never visited until yesterday despite living in the area for a long while. Massive pond along the trail that offers some nice views and picnic tables. Lots of dogs here. Some of the trail has a lot of tree roots going through so just be mindful.
Ames Park is a beautiful park to visit. its tucked away near a residential area and if you are not local, you would not know its here. We were told about it because of our friends we stayed with. The park is very nice and quiet with lots of clean and well maintained trails.
I grew up coming here as a child with my mom and dad. Now I have been sharing the experience with my kids for 18 years!!! We always have fun climbing the rocks, fishing, walking our pups, or playing by the water fall. It’s definitely my dogs favorite place to go and enjoy a peaceful walk.
