Confirmed from Amesbury Town Forest's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Amesbury Town Forest

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (36 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Was a good hike except that I almost got lost. Had to use my Google maps GPS to find my way out. I guess I went off the colored marked trails and thought I was back on the green trail but with all the little side trails it was hard to navigate my way around.

I love the town forest. So many miles of trails and it makes you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. Perfect for taking the dog for a walk or even some off road biking

★★★★★ — Chris , May 2021

Beautiful Forrest with many trails that go forever. Well maintained. Lots for all ages to explore.

★★★★★ — Patti , Nov 2019

The gnomes that live here are quite nice. Tall mushrooms and small paths are pretty too.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking

“Plenty of parking in the lot across from Acadia condominiums.”
