We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Arkansas River Park Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Arkansas River Park Trail
“The parking here kinda sucks but it’s a great access point and it’s right next to the city and the trails are always clean.”
“It was a beautiful day, they had added more sidewalk nice and clean.”
Just a couple of miles from my house but it feels like being a hundred miles away. I always come back from my walks down there in the best mood. Love it! We are so lucky to have this in our town!
Mostly shady trail along the river. A cool walk or ride in summer. I travel it with my mobility scooter. Usually includes opportunities to view wildlife. There are sheltered picnic tables. It is dog friendly and stroller friendly. The trail is well maintained from Lake Pueblo State Park all the way through Pueblo.
The parking here kinda sucks but it’s a great access point and it’s right next to the city and the trails are always clean. I’ve never had any “ incidents” here like I’ve had at other access points (mostly Confluence)
Well maintained trail, relaxing and fun, felt safe, ped and bike friendly. The tamrisk needs to be controlled better, the smaller bridge has broken planks and the tile bench has been vandalized. These maintenance issues didn't detract from the enjoyment of the walk though. Very nice experience.
