Confirmed from Arlington Reservoir's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular swimming area with a beach, playground, walking path, dog-friendly areas and more.
What runners say about Arlington Reservoir
“"The lake features a beautiful loop for walks, making it a quiet and lovely place to enjoy the sunsets.”
I would give this ten stars if I could. It was recently renovated so the path is wider and smoother, especially good for those that aren’t so steady on their feet. There are many places to stop and enjoy the water views. It’s close to Starbucks and traders joes, path right off the minuteman bike path.
This is a local favorite. The 0.9 mile trail is flat and wide, packed gravel, and goes around the reservoir. There are bathrooms that are open during the day in season, and there’s a porta-potty as well. You can also rent kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards.
Definitely check out the Arlington Reservoir if you're in the Mt. Gilboa neighborhood of Arlington, MA! It's such an awesome community resource that has something for everyone.
