Confirmed from Assabet River Rail Trail Access Path (Fossile Easement)'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park suitable for kids offering areas for walking and biking.
What runners say about Assabet River Rail Trail Access Path (Fossile Easement)
“Love this trail, I would say 5 stars if it were longer, scenic ride uphill Hudson to Marlborough and if course downhill on the way back, good workout, great fun.”
“Rail trail is a great place for walking, running biking or blading.”
Great trail for biking after work. I suggest parking on Washington Street in Hudson which is Route 85 by McDonald's and riding up to the trail end at Lincoln Street in Marlborough. It's uphill much of the way but not horribly so.
Perfect start to go for a walk/run / bike ride! I have never had an issue finding parking. The only down side is that it is heavily green, if you have allergies during the season, you will be hit by walls of pollen.
We love walking the trail as a family and the parking is convenient. The trail is wide and pavement is still fairly smooth. I would give 5 stars if the poison ivy wasn't so plentiful along the trail.
Great trail for running, biking and taking walks with family. So beautiful in the fall especially. I enjoy it.
