Confirmed from Danforth Falls Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly, maintained nature trails featuring picturesque waterfalls and a stream, plus wildflowers.
What runners say about Danforth Falls Trailhead
“In times of high water, the falls are beautiful with the upper part of the trail can be quite wet.”
“Such a peaceful place with the birds singing and the sound of waterfalls.”
“Easy walking with no steep sections.”
I did 1.3 miles in 35 minutes. Such a peaceful place with the birds singing and the sound of waterfalls. The trail is well marked (look for the white triangles painted on the trees). Nice wide tails that meander through the woods and along Danforth Brook with many waterfalls.
Very easy short hike. Perfect for kids! The waterfall is pretty and peaceful.
In times of high water, the falls are beautiful with the upper part of the trail can be quite wet. If you want to do the full loop, keep an eye out for the southbound uphill leg of the trail, it can be hard to find.
This was a nice quick trail and easily accessible from the street. My only critique would be that the falls are not exactly what I was expecting. More of a pile of rocks. 😁 Photo included.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
