Confirmed from Assabet River Rail Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Assabet River Rail Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (24 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

The rail trail is a great way to get between these towns and overall a great experience. The view of fort meadow reservoir might be one of the best if not the best views in all of Marlborough. Overall, I highly recommend biking/walking this trail at least once

We love the rail trail. And it keeps getting longer! Nicely paved, well maintained, gets plenty of use, but it's long enough to not be too crowded. The trail passes through towns, residential areas and plenty of woods which keep out nice and cool on hot summer days.

Great ride through woods and cities alike. Great way to cruise from town to town. Biking or walking that is.

★★★★★ — J , Sep 2018

Beautiful trail to take a walk, jog, run, ride a bike and rollerblade!!!
