This is still being developed. Long time ago there used to be a bar Azusa Canyon bar and a really nice restaurant. The bar was torn down years ago, I met my ex husband there in 1980. We were married 21 years, good memories. Now a developing park area with No Access to the water!
Hike is a little shorter than you might expect what with how inviting the river and the mountains are - you can walk through and get back in a little over an hour.
Easy hike that’s not crowded. It’s a 3 mile trail out & back, but only hiked about a mile before I turned around. Great for kids & dogs. Will hike again to finish the loop. You’re able to see the river, but there is no access down.
Plenty of parking, the hike feels mostly flat even tho you are going up or down. This is not a spot to get in the river is just for walking,great views and thanks to all the people for keeping the dogs on a leash! 👏
