We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Open Door Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Open Door Trail
“Beautiful short 2 mile in and out Trail that packs a punch with a steep incline!”
Great short but steep trail that goes straight to the cross above Azusa. This trail happened from the sweat and toil of worshippers and volunteers from the Church of the Open Door. Thanks to everyone including the church leaders who made this gift for our community. We enjoy it a lot!
Great hike. Take a hiking stick, with you. The view is nice n appreciate the encouraging bible verses that are posted on this hiking trail.
The trail is inclined and well-maintained to walk. You can see the city of Glendora and its neighboring cities. It gives you a great workout just make sure to bring enough water to hydrate. Lovely views from the top. Enjoy every minute of it.
Steep climb but views are great! There is a fun swing on the oak tree to the right when you hit the ridge trail. Lovely tribute to those brave firefighters lost in the make below in the 60s...
