The opening part of the hike over to the primitive campsite is just an easy stroll through brush. After that, it gets a little more interesting while it winds its way through rock formations and outcroppings.
You really have a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get down into Babylon. The arch trail is a little tricky to follow, but it's worth the hike. If you drive down to the river, it's a neat area with some old buildings and a fun area to play in the river.
I can’t tell you the number of trails available to run/hike in this beautiful place! I’ve spent hours running around exploring and enjoying the beautiful hills! It is easy to get lost in some places, but making your own trail back isn’t all that hard. If you ever want an amazing camping spot give this place a visit!
This was a beautiful and fun hike. It was mostly easy with maybe a few parts that could be considered moderate. However, if you are looking for something more challenging there is the option of climbing over boulders and shimmying up cracks and crevices. The arch is cool but the hike there is the best part.
