Confirmed from Backyard Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular mountain-biking destination featuring a network of mostly technical trails for experienced riders plus jumps and wood features.
What runners say about Backyard Trails
Very technical trail. Can anyone post a link/layout of the trail system, if one exists? As my first time there, there was no clear way to make it back to the trail head. Map would solve that.
Very technical trails!! 20 years ago i used to ride downhill, now at 40 i went out there for my 6th/7th trail ride in 20 years thinking i could handle it. I was wrong, wrong, wrong😂😂 I would have shredded and hucked all through this trail 20 years ago, but not so much these days.
Make sure to park across the neighborhood at the church or the rec center. Very technical trail, but is layed out well enough to gain speed at times. Will be back.
Hidden gem for mountain bikers. Technical trails. Easily accessed from the new greenway.
Trail conditions & character
“A mostly technical ride with many challenging features on trails that wind thru these woods.”

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
