Confirmed from Baker Creek Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“The large landscaped area gives you lots of room for other family friendly activities .”

Great spot to ride - pump track and bike trails off the chain! Baker creek preserve is a comprehensive bike park with everything from pump tracks to berms and raised paths. The trails are well manicured and I’ve been quite surprised every time I’ve gone, that I mostly have the place to myself!

Set up for off road biking, many trails are also suitable for hiking. Great attitude and spirit among most users. Not too crowded, especially in the backcountry.

This is where I ride. Awesome downhill mountain biking trails where amateurs are welcome... Everyone is welcome. Devil's Racetrack, and Barn Burner are my favorites. You ride hard? Come send it! SoKno Taco is right around the corner too. Check it out.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“Awesome trails, jump tracks and some technical lines too!”

Plan your run at Baker Creek Preserve

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
