Confirmed from Baker Prairie's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Baker Prairie
“Then they burned it last fall to burn off all the old weeds and all the dead stuff and so I'm sure it will be beautiful once it starts.”
While we came in early June, it is still a cute little place. There wasn't much in the way of wildflowers, but still well maintained and a cute little path to walk on. We were in Branson on vacation and wanted a good spot to have a quick lunch and say we visited Arkansas since we are from NW Iowa.
It looks like it's going to be very nice once the new growth starts coming in. There are paths cut from before. Then they burned it last fall to burn off all the old weeds and all the dead stuff and so I'm sure it will be beautiful once it starts.
Love walking in the prairie! It's never really busy & it's a great break from the crowd without having to go far. It's beautiful & peaceful. Lots of native flora & fauna for anyone who enjoys nature.
Has a lot of wildflowers in the spring and also has a walking trail throughout the prairie. It is in the middle of the city however, it has plenty of birds to view that are native to the area. No charge and no time limit.
