“Beautiful spot for swimming,hiking,fishing”

This is a much a needed dog permissible trail (along w Ponca to Steel Creek). The walk towards Mill Creek is short and ends at the confluence of the Buffalo River abdcMill Creek. Or drive over to nearby Shaddox Cemetary to access the rest of the Mill Creek Trail.

This trail was a little different from many others along the Buffalo River. There was a history lesson integrated into the hike. One step back in history to the 1880s when the mine opened. Housing structures, a company store, and a shop where trolly cars were built are all available to see.
