Confirmed from Banyan Road Trailhead - Cross Florida Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Banyan Road Trailhead - Cross Florida Greenway
“Well maintained park facility with terrific paved trails for walking, skating or biking”
“What a beautiful and peaceful place to get out and enjoy nature while still in the city.”
“There are a lot of trails, it's quiet, it's nice, there's off the path trails or concrete.”
Located in what otherwise appears to be just another Florida suburban neighborhood, the Banyan Road Trailhead is a delightful surprise! This well developed access to the Florida Greenway System provides entry to a network of paved walkways through gently rolling terrain that comprises a mix of forest and meadow…
Love love LOVE this trail. It's off the beaten path a little, and I've never seen it crowded during the week. Lots beautiful flora and fauna. Our favorites to see are the deer and the Sherman fox squirrels. They have paved and dirt paths, and it intersects with the Florida Trail.
I visited the Marjorie Harris Carr-Cross Florida Greenway at Banyan Road on a weekend in May 2026. It is located within a neighborhood, but has an official parking area with lots of space.
The trail is paved and relatively flat, making it a good option for hikers, bikers, and horseback riders of all skill levels. It is also a popular spot for birdwatching, as the Greenway is home to a variety of bird species, including woodpeckers, owls, and hawks.
