Confirmed from Barrier Island Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Barrier Island Nature Trail
“Great views easy walking 🚶♂️ trails.”
Excellent trails around the mangroves and access to the beach. When it's too windy you'll appreciate the protection the trees provide. Restroom #1 here, clean , drinking water fountain
Short walking trail but shaded and pleasant to escape the heat. The beach area was nice but it was very hot. We enjoyed a quick swim, playing in the sand and looking for treasures.
