I have been coming here my entire life. The beauty and charm of Lake Absegami never changes. We have always stayed in cabin 5 or 6 and it's the perfect rustic getaway with some basic comforts of home. It has electric, running water, a shower, a full kitchen with refrigerator and stove and a nice wood burning fireplace.
First time visit!! We had an incredible experience at this camping place! The serene surroundings, well-maintained facilities, and attentive staff made for an unforgettable stay. The campsites were spacious and private, offering the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.
I enjoyed my visit to Bass River State Forest. I took my kayak out on Lake Absegami and hiked on the Orange trail. Lake Absegami was scenic and peaceful. There were a lot of water plants and turtles present. The trail was interesting, as well, with many large pines along the way.
I am so proud of New Jersey for protecting and preserving this area of beautiful natural resources. I brought my dog and we found an endless variety of trails, fire roads and park-like areas. We had the best time exploring the area. The people in the park office and store are very friendly and welcoming.
