I met my fiance in the woods at bodine field almost 4 years ago. Not even a month later we were packed up and hiking the 52 mile long rustic trail of the Batona Trail. It took 3.5 days. We started at the start which is in Tuckerton.
This was a very good hike. It was a well marked trail through the woods but also on a road with cars.
I rode my bike from this point to Chatsworth Rd. and back (approximately 19 miles). I enjoyed the trip. At spots, the surface was very soft, too soft for a bike. Also, some of the trail blazes seem to be missing around the 2 - 3 mile pt.near Allen Rd. Overall, though, it was a nice trip.
Well, the Termination is what it is. A small lot big enough to park 2 cars. Other parking is available along the fireroad/trail. You have a little over 4 tenths of a mile before you hit the single track trails. Then just enjoy the trails; they are beautifull!
