Confirmed from Beardsley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Landscaped green space showcasing a small zoo with swans, playgrounds and baseball fields.
What runners say about Beardsley Park
“A beautiful park designed in the 1880s by the father of landscape architecture - Frederick Law Olmsted - someone I had studied in school almost 30 years ago.”
“This is a lovely, expansive space that provides a peaceful escape from the city.”
Like going here on nice days with the kids but going alone for a walk and fresh air is needed too. Bunnell pond is full of ducks, swans, geese. They stock the water with fish once a year for fishing (I think trout).
Like early morning walks here. It's quiet with occasional bunnies & chipmunks 😎
Beautiful park Used to fish, bike, run around the green space and even go sledding in winter. Sad they took alot of the green space away but they did add a playground and put in ball fields.
We did the paved walkway long the brook. The brook not moving to fast...but still enjoying.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
