Great overlook, you can see the dam, lake and much of the landscape. Super short walk to the overlook. The gap trail is not bad but not really near the water.

Great hiking trail! Took about 5 hours to walk it at a easy pace and stopping 3 times to snack or just take in the views. About 6 miles one way. We went with a group and left cars at one end and drove other cars to the trailhead. If you don't you will have to walk back to your car another 6 miles.
