Confirmed from Belleview Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Belleview Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (510 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“There’s a shallow creek where kids can safely splash and play, and plenty of shaded areas to spread out a blanket for a relaxing picnic.”

We went for the holiday train ride. Train was broken when we visited, but that's ok. They offered another date to come back, but we were already doing things those days. They had so much to do while we were there. Toasting marshmallows, see Santa, make crafts, even just walking around and seeing lights was fun.

Really cool place for kids to play in the river, catch fish etc. There’s little train that goes around in a loop and a petting zoo. Playground is also not too far and a water park is literally next door!

This is a cool suburban park my friend and I walked through. It’s hard to explain but even with so much crisscrossing around it’s incredibly peaceful. There’s evidently a train that runs in the summer for kids and the track winding throughout makes me wonder if we should come back and ride it in the summer.

Really love this park! Whether I'm jogging on the paved trail or just out to sit and read a book, it's always a fun time. I saw the train this weekend - how cool! There are always families around enjoying the atmosphere. Never any drama or craziness, people are always respectful and kind.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
