Confirmed from Bellflower City Caruthers Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

We love to ride our bikes or walk down the bike trail to get to this park and play.

Caruthers Park is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful weather throw parties and BBQ. Caruthers Park has so much to do like playing on the Slides and swings to playing sports like Basketball, Volleyball and even Tennis and Baseball. They even have a game room with different activities.

★★★★★ — Denetrius , Apr 2026

Went to the new dog park but couldnt stay long because there wasn’t enough seats or shade for my kids and I to watch our dog play.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
