Confirmed from Bennett Beach's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Bennett Beach
“Nice clean beach, only allowed to swim in certain area for the lifeguards rather than most of the beach.”
“Beautiful sandy beach on lake Erie, and free.”
“Our favorite family friendly beach!”
Rustic, clean, and well cared for by Eire County. Typical of the American shore of lake Erie, there is a lot stuff that washes up on the beach. Very quiet nature trails to get lost in. Pillowy white sand lines the wooded trails. Dogs are welcome. Free entry and parking. Bring a picnic. Restrooms are spotless.
Did you know? One of western New York’s finest! There is an incredible fun-loving beach along the shores of Lake Erie - with soft sand & warm water while offering great family memories - well-located near Angola New York, about fifteen miles south of Buffalo.
Love this beach. Is pretty clean, the picnic area is nice, restrooms are clean. Kids can run around and use the playground. The beach area is beautiful.
Rock layer just as you enter the water, not too long until you only have a sand floor. Nice area, a bit if a walk from car to shore, but a public bathroom is available.

Plan your run at Bennett Beach
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
