Confirmed from Berkley Riverfront's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Downtown green space along the Missouri River features broad biking & walking paths & open fields.
What runners say about Berkley Riverfront
“Enjoyed open air views while watching the game and saw a gorgeous sunset above the MO river which added to the sporting ambiance.”
“Calm and a way to get away for a moment”
It is really beautiful to walk along the river and watch the bridge that’s iconic. A really nice place to picnic and lots of space. I saw people kayaking down the river too. Definitely pay a visit if you are in KC.
This is one of my favorite places in the city! It’s perfect for just about everything. Whether you want to take a long walk, ride your bike, play volleyball, have a picnic or watch the sunset, this place is the best spot.
I was there late in the afternoon for sunset. It was beautiful seeing the sunlight glisten off the river. There are sand volleyball courts there and a playground with green astro turf for kids to play on.
Amazing! I walked from the Show Pony Hote with a first date. Lots of volleyball going on. People were friendly , lots of couples walking and lots of dogs. My opinion, 1 excellent vibe !! Can only imagine what the weekends like. The only thing missing was music. With music, it would be all the way on !

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
